FORMER UFC fighter Rolando Dy is back to the winning column after a win in Brave CF 42 last Sept. 24, 2020 in Bahrain.

The 29-year-old Dy ended a two-fight losing slump with a split decision win over Polish warrior Maciek Gierszewski.

Dy came into this fight with back-to-back losses against Anzon Abdulkhozhaev and Do Gyeom Lee. He improved to 13-9.

Gierszewski, on the other hand, dropped to 7-6.

Dy is the son of Filipino boxing legend Rolando Navarrete. He made waves by fighting in Guam-based Pacific Xtreme Combat.

After three straight wins, Dy was noticed and got signed by the biggest MMA organization– the UFC.

Dy made his UFC debut in 2017 with a second-round stoppage loss to Alex Caceres following an eye injury. He lost his second UFC fight by unanimous decision to Teruto Ishihara before finally getting his first UFC win with a unanimous decision over Wuliji Buren.

Dy was released by the UFC in 2018 after losing to Shane Young via a second-round stoppage. (EKA)
