Eagles, Tigers start strong in Elite Cebu Season 15

THE Eagles and the Tigers opened up their campaign in the Season 15 of the Elite Basketball Club Cebu on a high note after winning their respective games on Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Visayan Glass Basketball Gym in Guadalupe, Cebu City.

The Eagles beat the Wolves, 75-70, led by the trio of Randy Delapisa, Jefford Aldave and Janjan Auditor.

Delapisa had 20 points and eight rebounds, Aldave added 17 points and eight rebounds, while Auditor chipped in 16 points.

Merbien Dedace led the Wolves with 15 points, Trystan Chu and Michael Duran had 12 each and Ervin Lopena contributed 10.

The Tigers, on the other hand, crushed the Scorpions, 79-66.

Chris Obeso exploded with 28 points and nine rebounds to lead the Tigers in the opening night win. Niño Obeso added 18 points and seven rebounds, while Joel Benisg logged a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Paul Torrecampo had 16 points, six rebounds and two steals for the Scorpions. Jerome Silva and Germaine Guarisma chipped in 11 markers each. (EKA)
