Forward Roosevelt Adams declines Terrafirma offer, chooses free agency

Jonas N. Panerio

ATHLETIC forward Roosevelt Adams has opted to become a free agent after shunning the contract extension offer tendered by Terrafirma.

This development means Terrafirma is now in danger of losing two integral parts of their recent resurgence after versatile forward Matt Ganuelas-Rosser also chose to become an unrestricted free agent. Unlike Ganuelas-Rosser, Adams is a restricted free agent which means the Dyip can match any offers he gets if they choose to.

The 27-year-old Filipino-American was the first pick of the regular PBA Draft back in 2019. A 6-foot-6 perimeter threat, Adams has shown incredible promise, averaging 10.3 points and 8.1 rebounds in the 2020 Philippine Cup, a performance that earned him a spot on the All-Rookie team.

He then bumped his numbers up to 11.2 points and 7.4 rebounds in the 2021 Philippine Cup.
