Gilas bares SEA Games roster, Kiefer Ravena included in 12

JAPAN B.League star Kiefer Ravena has been included in the Gilas Pilipinas men’s national basketball team that will defend the gold medal in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi.

The 28-year-old Ravena, who is currently in Japan playing for the Shiga Lakestars, is expected to suit up for the Gilas with his last two games for his Japanese squad slated this weekend. Ravena is the most bemedaled player on this roster with five gold medals across his name.

Ravena will be joined by two Cebuanos in veterans Roger Pogoy and six-time PBA Most Valuable Player, June Mar Fajardo. Also on the squad are Isaac Go, Mo Tautuaa, Troy Rosario, Lebron Lopez, Matthew Wright, Will Navarro, Kib Montalbo, Kevin Alas and Kiefer's younger brother, Thirdy Ravena.

Dwight Ramos and Robert Bolick were not included in the SEA Games roster with the former still tied up to his B.League team, the Toyama Grouses, while the latter is flying to the United States to spend time with his father. (JNP)
