Joeric pugs score first-round KOs

JOERIC Boxing’s Sean Abello and Kenneth Espina put on impressive performances in the monthly Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Visayas Amateur Boxing yesterday in the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

Abello stopped 10,000 BC’s Nathaniel Alfornon in the 1:10 mark of the opening round of the mosquitoweight bout.

Espina also stopped RWS Stable’s Justine Equilla in the 1:46 mark of the first round of their pinweight division fight.

SEVA stable’s Kevin Sumalinog scored a second-round stoppage over RWS Gym’s Wilfredo Dibdib in the seond round of thier light flyweight fight, while Manolito Esdamen of RWS Gym destroyed Cebu City’s Denviel Patillano in the 1:14 mark of the second round in the flyweight division.

David Mancao of 10,000 BC scored a unanimous decision over Joeric Boxing’s Prence Espina; 10,000 BC’s Bryan Baricuatro beat Cebu City’s Jesreel Quilaton by unanimous decision; RWS Gym’s Daryl Balderas beat Arniel Fajardo of 10,000 BC by unanimous decision; Cebu City’s John Jimenez defeated Team Joeric’s JM Andrejas by unanimous decision; and Cebu City’s Tricia Marie Llamas beat SEVA’s Patricia Sumalinog also by unanimous decision.
