Lee, Andrin conquer Recoletos Run

PRINCE Joey Lee and Cherry Andrin conquered the seventh edition of the Recoletos Run, winning the men’s and women’s 12-kilometer titles on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, in front of the Cebu City Hall. Lee crossed the finish line in 42 minutes and 25 seconds to defeat fast-rising Ruel Algufera in a sprint finish for the men’s title. Algufera timed in at 42:26 and settled for second place. Ariel Saballa was in a distant third place with a time of 44:18. In contrast, Andrin clocked in 54:12 and dominated the women’s side, finishing with more than a minute’s lead over her closest pursuers. Princess Jive Cala, who finished second in 55:48, and Mary Joy Castor, who snagged third place in 58:29. (RSC)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
