UAAP legends and former pros Jun Limpot and Paolo Mendoza will be the guests of The BEST Center’s Bida BEST Live backed by Milo show this Saturday, March 6, 2021.

The show, which will be hosted by former national women’s basketball team member Julie Amos and Popoy Navarro, the son of the late great Cebuano sportsman Rico Navarro, will stream live at 7:30 p.m. on the BEST Center Sports Inc. Facebook page.

Nicknamed “The Main Man,” Limpot led the De La Salle Green Archers to back-to-back UAAP titles in 1989 and 1990. He also captured three UAAP MVP awards before eventually getting selected first overall in the 1993 PBA Draft by the Sta. Lucia Realtors.

Aside from capturing Rookie of the Year honors, the 6-foot-6 forward is also a five-time All-Star and a two-time Mythical Second Team selection. Limpot’s lone championship came in 2006, which he won with the Purefoods franchise.

Mendoza on the other hand, had a sensational career for the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in the UAAP. He was the first overall pick during the 2000 PBA Draft by Sta. Lucia and his presence almost immediately paid dividends as he helped Sta. Lucia capture the 2001 Governors’ Cup title. (JNP)
