PINOY striker Jeremy Miado faces Chinese nemesis Miao Li Tao in a rematch in the undercard of ONE Championship-“Nextgen” on Oct. 29, 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

Miado and Li fought each other on Nov. 16, 2019. Miado knocked out Li in the opening round.

Miado has not fought since, while Li was busier and went 1-2 in ONE Championship.

Li lost to Ryuto Sawada by unanimous decision in 2020 after his loss to Miado. He, however, got back at Sawada the following year and beat him by unanimous decision in a rematch before losing to former ONE strawweight champion Alex Silva by unanimous decision just last Aug. 13.

Li, who owns a win over former ONE strawweight champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, is ready to avenge his loss to Miado.

Miado has had an inconsistent stint in ONE Championship. He debuted in the organization in 2017 and lost back-to-back fights against Robin Catalan and Pongsiri Mitsatit. He’s 3-4 in the ONE Championship, with his biggest win, a first round knockout of Dejdamrong.

Miado is 9-4, while Li is 6-4.

ONE-“Nextgen” is headlined by a light heavyweight world championship bout between defending champion Roman Krylia and challenger Murat Aygun.

It also features the semifinals of the Women’s Atomweight Grand Prix, wherein Thai sensation Stamp Fairtex (6-1) takes on replacement Julie Mezabarba (9-2-1) and unbeaten Japanese Itsuki Hirata locks horns with Indian prospect Ritu Phogat (6-1).

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N.
