MIXED Martial Arts legend and current ONE Championship vice president Rich Franklin will drop by Cebu City this week to film his MMA reality show—“Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series (OWS)—and meet the newest member of the show and the organization, Allan Albindo.

“I’m very thankful to ONE Championship and the ONE Warrior Series that they have chosen Allan. A lot of fighters have been dreaming of being in the ONE Championship,” Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu Chief Executive OFficer and founder Master Benigno “Ekin” Caniga told SunStar Cebu. “They have picked Allan and there will be a contract signing within the week.”

The 22-year-old Albindo will be a part of the OWS - ONE Championship’s developmental league.

“Allan has a great future ahead of him in MMA because he’s very dedicated in training. He always listens to me and is easy to train,” said Caniga.

OWS is a brainchild of Franklin, who conducts a search in different countries for promising MMA fighters. The fighters could earn a $100,000 fight contract with the ONE Championship.

Albindo, a native of Argao, has impressed OWS scouts and will be getting his shot at being in the ONE Championship, Asia’s premier MMA organization. (EKA)
