UNBEATEN Dave Peñalosa will be tested this Sunday, if he’s indeed the real deal. The 27-year-old Peñalosa faces experienced Tanzanian Twalib Tuwa at the SM North Edsa Skydome.

Dave is 13-0 with nine knockouts, while the 28-year-old Tuwa is 21-5-2 with 14 knockouts.

“This will be an acid test for him, if he is for real. He’s very well prepared. I hope he puts on an impressive performance,” said Gerry Pens Promotions head Gerry Peñalosa, Dave’s uncle.

Dave finished off his preparation for this fight by training and sparring in China. Dave has been impressive in his seven-year career so far. He is coming off a second round stoppage over Ricky Manufoe just last July. Dave will be tested with a stiffer opponent in Tuwa, a former Tanzanian champion.

Tuwa is a winner of his last three fights, with his latest, a unanimous decision over Nasibu Habibu. (EKA)
