The PLDT Power Hitters finally claimed their first win in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference with a 25-22, 25-20, 25-21 win over the Perlas Spikers on Sunday night at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Baccara.

Although PLDT is already eliminated from playoff contention, it didn’t stop them from striving for a win. And with Cebuana Isa Molde and Jorelle Singh firing on all cylinders, the Power Hitters were able to improve their win-loss record to 1-7.

Molde led PLDT with 14 points off of 12 spikes and two service aces, while Singh and Chin-chin Basas ended up with 11 markers each, with Basas adding 13 digs. Libero Alyssa Eroa added 22 digs and nine excellent receptions.

The Perlas Spikers suffered their second straight loss, falling to seventh place in the standings with a 1-4 record. (JNP)
