THE Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) under the Philippine Sports Institute (PSI) has rescheduled the grassroots sports programs in the Visayas as a precautionary measure against the spread of the coronavirus.

Around 80 grassroots programs have been moved in the wake of the PSC’s postponement of all its managed events.

PSC commissioner Ramon Fernandez said they are targeting the resumption of their program by July.

”We are playing it by ear with the recent situation in the country. But definitely, the PSC is ready to proceed,” said Fernandez.

Thirty editions of the Children’s Games are scheduled in cities and municipalities of Western, Central and Eastern Visayas, while seven Consultative Planning and Coaching Certification courses are planned for Negros Occidental, Cebu and Southern Leyte. (RSC)
