NILS Rochereau and Stephen Marie Jayson ruled the third edition of the Run For Gift of Life, winning the men’s and women’s 16-kilometer titles at the Robinsons Galleria on Sunday, May 19.
Rochereau breasted the tape in 1 hour, 16 minutes and 40 seconds to win the men’s title in the race conducted for the benefit of indigent children with congenital heart defect.
Ronaldo Entrolero finished in 1:20:47 for second place, while Jerwin Linamas snagged third place in 1:22:13.
Jayson, on the other hand, topped the women’s side after clocking in at 1:24:11. The closest pursuers were close to 20 minutes behind; Lilian Racoya finished in 1:42:15 and Joan Sevilla clocked in at 1:43:45.
Junior triathlete Moira Frances Erediano of Go For Gold dominated the women’s 8K race with a time of 34:47. Kathryn Erikson finished second in 41:55 and Cherry Mae Selona clocked in at 42:20 to round up the top three.
Gemar Morales crossed the finish line in 28:27 to beat triathlete Sherwin Mohammad by 32 seconds. Rommel Baid took third place in 30:44.
In the 3K race, Chris Dominique Estreba emerged as the fastest runner with a time of 11:15. He was followed by Uniel Degamo in 11:24 and Jane Noval in 11:36.
Marinel Estreba won the women’s 3K race in 12:38, beating Jenelyn Paragoso and Jasrain Mizzy Noval, who clocked in 18:39 and 19:06 to take second and third places, respectively.
Meanwhile, John Kevin Ebales (2:56), John Russel Ebales (3:10) and Joseph Recaplaza (3:28) were the Top 3 runners in the men’s 1K category, while Jana Jamito (4:19), Aubry Glarino (4:44) and Jan Gonhoran (5:53) occupied the podium spots in the women’s side. (RSC)
