Sherilin crushes White Wolves, books semis spot in Nevinomenon Basketball League

The Sherilin Arowanas waylaid the White Wolves, 113-61, to advance to the semifinals of the Nevinomenon Basketball League on Sunday night at the Cebu Port Authority gym.

Playing with just eight players, the Sherilin squad of businessman and sportsman Richard Mercado still had enough firepower, holding the White Wolves scoreless for most of the first period, setting the tempo for the rest of the one-sided game.

Former University of San Carlos guard Kiefer Lim claimed Best Player of the Game honors with his 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Meanwhile, in other quarterfinal matches, Hell Energy Drink scored an 84-80 win over the SC Warriors. Ex-Cebu Institute of Technology-University ace Niño Batiquin had 17 points, six assists, and four rebounds to help send Hell Energy Drink to the semifinal stage.

V-Drink Malunggay also moved on to the Final Four with a 92-68 rout of the Cut N Shave Lounge. Bryle Cascas led V-Drink’s balanced effort with 12 points, four boards, and two assists.

And finally, Silogan ni Gian ousted the Artera Builders, 105-88, as Ian Ortega went for 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
