SACRED HEART SCHOOL alumni and non-alumni golfers alike will get a chance to showcase their golfing prowess in the annual Eagle Golf Tournament on Dec. 7 at the Cebu Country Club.

“This is open to all golfers,” said Clark Gothong of Batch 1993, the organizers of this year’s golf tournament.

The tournament will have two divisions--individual and team and both divisions will have the Class A, B and C categories.

Organizers are expecting 150 to 200 golfers to compete in the tournament. Registration is already open to all golfers with a P2,500 regstration fee for Cebu Country Club members and P3,500 for non-members.

For this year, there will be more prizes at stake for the golfers who can hit a hole-in-one on a specific hole.

“We had several sponsors. Now we made it four holes,” said Gothong.

Prizes at stake for hole-in-one winners are a Mecedes Benz car, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, Skygo motorcyle and a bathroom package.

There will also be special awards for the longest drive, the most accurate drive, the highest pin, highest gross and closest to the pin.

The Perpetual Trophy will also be awarded to the Sacred Heart School alumnus with the lowest net. The name of the winner will be etched on the trophy that he will be able to keep for a year before returning it. His name will be engraved along with the past winners of the tournament. The tournament started in 1993 and Bob Gothong was the first name etched on the Perpetual Trophy. (EKA)
