THE University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) completed a grand slam in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Season 19 girls’ volleyball tournament on Monday, October 28, 2019, at the Aznar Coliseum.

USPF defeated the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) after four sets, 17-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-12, in Game 3 of their best-of-three championship series.

USPF shrugged off a slow start and took the next three sets after dropping the opening set.

Mitzi Panangin won the Most Valuable Player award. She also snagged the season’s First Middle Blocker plum.

USJ-R sent the series to a decisive Game 3 after pulling off a stunner over USPF on Sunday’s Game 2. (RSC)
