Williams Rules Cetba Monthly

TERRENCE Williams ruled the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (Cetba) Monthly Tournament for July after scoring 1,305 on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.

Williams knocked down a couple of over-200s with 215 and 212 scores in the third and fifth games. He finished with a total score of 1,305 in the six-game series.

Williams, a 25-handicapper, made 195 and 186 in the first two games. He scored 169 and 178 in the fourth and sixth games to go along with his top scores of 215 and 212.

The 20-handicapper Jake Yap secured second place after finishing with a total score of 1,239, while 15-handicapper Micmic Miranda settled for third place with a total output of 1,237.

Yap had scores of 145, 213, 164, 218, 200 and 179, while Miranda’s rounds were 183, 204, 170, 221, 179 and 190, respectively.

Rey Velarde finished at fourth place with 1,230 and Marvin Sevilla at fifth place with 1,189.

Velarde scored 174, 155, 194, 234, 175 and 178, while Sevilla had 167, 207, 160, 153, 165 and 187.

All champions in the monthly tournaments will qualify in the Cetba Grand Finals, which is usually played in December.

Completing this month’s Top 10 were Boy Gacho with a total score of 1,188, Roland Bantilan who finished with 1,185, Mark Hodgkinson with 1,173, John Galindo with 1,170 and Ronan Barredo with 1,168.

Meanwhile, aside from the regular tournament, Cetba also organized a bowling competition for junior players.
