JOURNEYMAN Marjohn Yap looks to derail the quick ascent of unbeaten prospect Angelo Leo in a 10-round super bantamweight fight on June 29, 2019 in Las Vegas.

The 30-year-old Yap will be making his US debut and will also be fighting at a new weight--the super bantamweight division.

“I want to introduce myself here. I want the US audience to see me. This fight is very important because I want to be known what kind of fighter I am. I will go for the win and give my best,” said Yap, who’s ranked No. 9 in the World Boxing Council (WBC) as a bantamweight.

Yap saw his impressive 10-fight streak in Japan end last year after a unanimous decision loss to Takuma Inoue. (EKA)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
