TWO-TIME champion Yoyi’s Pastries and Desserts survived the Island Hot Wings, 77-76, to keep their title in the F.Y.A Basketball Season 22 last Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Atillo Gym in Labangon, Cebu City.

Ahlmark Albarracin led the charge for Yoyi’s, which trailed the Hot Wings, 35-29, at the end of the first quarter.

After staying close in the next quarter, Yoyi’s finally took the lead, 50-51, at the end of the third quarter, but the Island Hot Wings manage to catch up at 75 with seconds left to play thanks to a pair of free throws by Daniel Enriquez.

However, Albarracin got fouled in the next play and he made both free throws to seal the win and earn the MVP award. Albarracin finished with 15 points and 11 assists, while Reyboy Caballes had 13 points, 21 rebounds and five assists. Jao Rabadon also finished with 13, while Charles Limbaga led the team with 17 points. (PR)
