REPRESENTATIVES of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) introduced their country’s latest technology and products in an exhibit at the Marco Polo Hotel Friday, March 8,

Manila Economic and Cultural Office Director Enrique Beltran said in an interview Friday that consumers will be assured of the quality of the Taiwan Excellence products.

In the same way, Filipinos could learn more on the Taiwanese about their products, innovation, and ways in doing business and trade.

"Filipinos can learn how to start counting their ways. Taiwan technology is basically number one in Asia. The technology is all in Taiwan. We can learn how they learn business because in Taiwan, it is quality above everything,” Beltran said.

“In some Asian countries, they just do factories and they mass produce. But when it arrives to the actual users, there are problems in quality. They normally break down or deteriorate even before they arrive here,” he added.

During the event, Taiwan Excellence showcased its brands such as Adata Technology featuring its newest powerbank, external hard drive, and USB flash drive products; Asus Technology Philippines; COMEUP Winch of COMEUP Industries; Alya of Easywell Water Systems; Saeko of First Rank; Transcend of Transcend Information; Deya of Uni-Paragon Enterprise; and Zyxel of Zyxel communications Corp.

“We try to introduce Taiwan and its products here as it already built a strong reputation in Manila,” TAITRA executive director of the strategic marketing department Tony Lin said, adding that they are now expanding their reach to drive greater awareness on Davao market.

For this year, Taiwan Excellence planned to also introduce Taiwan Excellence award-winning brands to more consumers in the country as they will launch another Taiwan Expo in November.

Lin said that there will be more development projects ahead for Taiwan and Davao that Dabawenyos should look forward to.
