VISTA Land, the leading homebuilder in the Philippines, eyes to put up more residential condominiums in Davao City in line with the city’s booming economy.

On Saturday, November 16, Vista Land officially broke ground its newest vertical project Davao City, Condo Homes’ (Coho) The Terrace in Ma-a, Davao City.

The Terrace will have four mid-rise residential buildings, which ranges from five to 15-storey, that integrates residential, commercial, retail, and leisure establishments all in one property.

Coho has already 25 projects in the country with four in Davao City: The Acropolyse (Lanang), The Frontera (Mandug, Buhangin), and The Evora (Communal, Buhangin).

The condominium project will rise on a 1.6 hectare lot where 400 to 500 square meter will be dedicated as a commercial space while 800 square meters will be intended for the residential.

Coho-Mindanao area head Carlo Refamonte said it will be the Vista Land’s latest condominium expansion following Camella Northpoint at J.P. Laurel Ave in Bajada.

“This ain’t the first time that we will be putting up a condominium here. For this one, we wanted to offer something like Northpoint,” Refamonte said, adding that Coho will provide a “distinct and curated lifestyle experience.”

He said the expansion of Vista Land, known for its housing development projects, is a “blessing opportunity” as investors and migration had been evident throughout the years.

He added that the market demand for condominium in the past decade has increased, brought about the country’s progressive economy in the country, especially in Davao City.

Despite the increasing number of condominiums being put up in the city, Refamonte said they are seeing it as an opportunity considering there is a high demand for residential spaces and hotels, especially in the downtown area.

“With our location here, our first in the southern part of the city, we wanted to be everywhere. Also since our Northpoint is almost sold out, we are eyeing to decongest the place, and also cater the market in these areas,” Refamonte said.
