UrbanEast Dev’t Bags 3 National Real Estate Awards

Ralph Lawrence G. Llemit

URBANEAST Developments, Inc. (UEDI), a top homegrown real estate development company based in Davao City, has recently bagged three prestigious national awards for offering its best investments in real estate business to the market.

UEDI won the Outlook 2022 Awards of Lamudi.com.ph for Best Premium House of the Year in the Visayas and Mindanao Category. The company also won the Philippine Property Awards 2022 of PropertyGuru for Best Housing Development -Metro Davao. Also, they were also named the Best Housing Architectural Design Nationwide, still in the Philippine Property Awards.

Edward Bernardo, President of UEDI said it has been an honor for their company to be given special recognition from these prestigious award-giving bodies.

“It’s really an honor because our company’s recently-completed project was cited as among the best in the real estate industry in the Philippines,” Bernardo said.

UEDI being a homegrown developer among the top awardees, is also a huge recognition for Davao City considering some of the big national real estate companies over the years had been rapidly establishing their presence in Davao.

It was a big challenge for local developers, he admitted. But he said this had pushed them to deepen their focus on executing their projects.

Compared to others, he said Davao players like them “know the market” and what their clients need and prefer.

Bernardo said their company is engaged in residential subdivision development, homebuilding, real estate marketing, and sales, end-buyer financing, landholding, residential property leasing, and commercial property development and leasing for the past 15 years already.

“There is a lot coming up for us, and we’re just very happy and honored that we have been successful for all this time,” he said.

With the awards it has recently garnered, The Gardens at South Ridge, UEDI’s recently-completed high-end exclusive gated community in Catigan, Toril serves as a capstone achievement and sets the company apart as a fast-rising Davao City-based real estate developer.

“It’s an exclusive suburban green pocket subdivision with a Modern European architectural theme applied throughout. If you are an investor there you can be guaranteed this is going to be an intimate community, being only seven hectares. The development is not too large and access to the main road of Catigan, Toril and the village’s amenities is very near for all residents. It’s very convenient. The development itself is quintessentially suburban if you really want peace and convenience at the same time: it is not too near but not very far either from the City Center. It’s also elevated, which is one of the hallmarks of Catigan,” further explained Bernardo.

He further added that since its founding, his company is nearing 2,000 individual properties built, sold, and leased out across seven major residential subdivision projects and commercial properties within Davao City and NCR. Its fully developed residential projects and property offerings cater to all market segments: from high-end gated communities to affordable middle-income and socialized housing developments. The Company and its projects have been accredited by several major commercial banks.

UEDI is also classified as a prime developer by the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-Ibig).

Bernardo said they will never stop doing economic housing so that people can afford decent homes. He also said that land ownership is the best investment that one can make in their lifetime.

“We focus on developing properties that will add value to the market and will only grow over time,” he said.
