Evangel Songsters Davao to hold concert August 17

Sadhana Marie Caballero

A WEEK to go and Dabawenyos will finally witness the Evangel Songsters Davao as they perform songs for their fund-raising concert entitled, “Evangel Songsters: Annyeonghaseyo, South Korea!"

These young talents will represent Davao in the upcoming 2018 Busan Choral Festival and Competition on October 17 to 20, 2018 at Busan, South Korea.

The Evangel Songsters Davao, under the baton of Mr. Nemuel Danuco, one of the premier musicians here in Davao, was born on October of 2016, through the initiative of the Zion’s Praise Music Incorporated, a music education provider that has been partnering with various schools since 2009.

The members of the group are composed of young individuals ages 9 to 18 years old, from different schools here in Davao. The first batch of the group went to Singapore last July 2017 for the 10th Orientale Concentus and got three silver grade awards in the Folk Song, Mixed and Youth categories. Auditions for the second batch started August of 2017 and this year, the Evangel Songsters Davao will once again make us proud as they compete in South Korea.

Let us watch and support these young talents on August 17, 2018, Friday at 6:30pm at the Christ Fellowship Church located at V. Mapa St. A donation of P400.00 will be given for every ticket pass.

For reservations, you may contact Mr. Nemuel Danuco at 0932-856-4389.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
