Night of good music, good food

Jennie P. Arado

FOURTEEN bands competed to be hailed the best during the recent Battle of the Bands at the Victoria Plaza parking lot.

Simultaneously, as the bands performed rock n’ roll songs that best entertained the audience, there was also an ongoing Food Bazaar at the parking area catering to the hungry customers. The bazaar went on from May 23 to 26. The competing bands performed and underwent the thorough elimination from May 23 to 25 while the daily winners competed for the grand champion title on the 26th.

Present bands were Helen Has Fallen, Waveback, Burdoons, Blackdog, Five Whats, Aguilaz, Acid Radius, CrossT26, Navitsky Band, Mr. E, Sidecrush, Ikkesh, Sebastian Rockers, and ATM 15.

But out of these great bands, only one was hailed the champion based on the judges’ approval and the audience’s enjoyment – Acid Radius.

According to Eric Diao, one of the event organizers, they spent almost a month for the preparation of the entire event.

It was but a night of great music and great food. No one was bored. No one was hungry with all the food around, thanks to Dani Palace Eight Box Café, Ochado Milk tea, Totally Spiced Shutter Box, Bepuchito Lechon, San Miguel Beer, and Ruby’s Catering Services to name a few.
