Celebrating Christmas with Damosa Land

Jennie P. Arado

BEING in the industry for 15 years now, Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) has also fostered good relationship with the good community. This is as they continue to share the spirit of sharing and camarederie, not just during Christmas but for the rest of the year.

On Wednesday, November 20, DLI held its annual Christmas lighting ceremony -- but this year with a little twist. This year's theme is the Christmas Village where Dabawenyos can come visit and have a picture with the dancing Santa Claus, the little red train that goes round and round, and the colorful Instagram-worthy umbrellas overhead.

All these colorful and twinkling decorations are just in front of Damosa Market Basket and anyone can enjoy from little kids to moms and dads.

During the opening ceremony, the very talented PSquare Chorale serenaded the audience with their cool rendition of different Christmas songs.

One of the highlights of the performance as well is that of Julien Joshua "Jj" Dolor Jr, a Davao-born talent who played the part of Young Simba in The Lion King musical. Not only did he entertain the crowd, he also saved a number for him and his cousins to perform.

But the main highlight of the event is the gift-giving celebration of DLI to children from orphanage homes here in Davao City such as the Field of Dreams and SOS Children's Village. There were also patients from House of Hope who benefited in the gifts DLI gave to around 150 children.

DLI Vice President Cary Lagdameo, himself, turned over the different grocery items and gifts for the beneficiary children. He said they are more than happy to annually celebrate Christmas with these children smiling.

After all, Christmas is always about giving, forgiving, and sharing blessings we received.
