Celebrating life like a disco

Ace June Rell S. Perez

THERE are a lot of reasons to be grateful for each day. And throwing a party for once in a while is always a good idea, especially if it's shared with the people close to your heart.

For businesswoman Joyce Laguesma Ricarse, every January is more than just a New Year for her, it also signals another year of opportunities and adventures as she turns a year older.

Last January 17, Joyce hosted a disco-themed party at Wav Entertainment. Her party was a day earlier her birthday on January 18.

"I just wanted to throw a party as a thanksgiving. I am so thankful with the gift of another year filled of blessings," she shared.

Giving more life to the party were the people celebrating with her - family, friends, business partners, and colleagues. Common law wife of President Rodrigo Duterte, Honeylet Avanceña was also present in the party.

It was party worth remembering made extra special with good food, good company, and fun music.

The party was themed disco because Joyce believes that life is just like a disco, no matter how the music changes, you must keep on dancing.
