Dear Divine D.,

There are natural methods that can help you. But, I don’t want you to depend on them. Please still take the medicines your physician prescribed for you, especially if this is in your genes. It’s your prescription medicines which will help you along with lifestyle modification. So, don’t forget to go on a full low purine diet -- and down the line are some help for you.

Apple Cider Vinegar: this helps your body to achieve more alkalinity which helps you from disabling acute gout pain. Drink 1–2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar mixed with 8 ounces of water. For better results, consume 2–3 times a day. And if you want to get rid of the pain faster, you can dip your foot into a mixture of hot water with apple cider vinegar.

Baking Soda: add 1/2 teaspoon of it in 8 ounces of water. Take this for at least 2-3 times a day for good results. This can help you out of the pain, but, if you have hypertension, this isn’t for you.

Cherries: these have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which can ease out the pain and swelling from gout, such as those who consume cherries have 35 percent reduce the risk of getting a Gout attack and other inflammations Use 15-20 cherries and make a juice with them and take it about twice a day. You can also eat them, if you don’t want to make juice.

Well, as we are running out of space this time, let me continue this topic in my next issue. Until then!
