Mother's Club year-end party

Ara Casas-Tumuran

WHETHER you are working, stay-at-home, work-at-home, or a single mom — you are the queen of your own household.

But queens need support system to keep their sanity, too!

The Mother’s Club, largest online community for moms in Davao Region with almost 30,000 members as of this writing, has helped a lot of moms to connect with fellow mothers since 2011.

It’s a perfect avenue to express ourselves about how motherhood has taken the toll on us. We inspire and learn from each other’s breastfeeding stories. We help the children and moms who need prayer requests and medical assistance. We uplift each other’s spirit against loneliness and even postpartum depression.

Recently, the admins organized a year-end party for members who want to take a break at Sunnypoint Hotel. The moms were all dolled up, wearing gowns, masks and favorite accessories— flaunting that motherhood glow!

I felt happy and proud as I was scrolling on each of their photos in the Facebook group. It was flooded with photos of proud moms who testified that it was their first time to dress up like a true queen. It was truly their moment. Moms need more events like this.

To all moms who attended the event, you deserve that glamorous moment! Keep on shining, beautiful Queens!

To the admins of The Mother’s Club, you did a great job!

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
