CHARGES were filed before the prosecution office in Mati City on June 29, 2018, against two suspected drug pushers nabbed in Barangay Central.

Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are Phillip Divinagracia and Bobby Paloma.

Personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao Region accompanied the two suspects for inquest proceedings.

Recovered from the possession of the suspects were one small sachet, one small pack and one big pack of suspected shabu, and a pack of dried marijuana.

The law enforcers also recovered from their possession assorted drug paraphernalia and P500 drug-bust money. The recovered substance was worth P120,000.

PDEA-Davao public information officer Noli Nephi Dimaandal said the suspects were arrested in a drug bust operation at Magsaysay in Central at 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 28.

Dimaandal said the operation was conducted by the PDEA-Davao along with the Mati City Police Station following the information on the illegal activities of the suspects.

The two suspects are temporarily detained at the PDEA-Davao jail facility while the seized suspected illegal drugs were submitted to PDEA-11 Laboratory Service for the test.

"Our government law enforcers are continuously doing their job for a drug free region, for a drug free country, and so we encourage everyone to continue reporting to us those who are involved in illegal drug activities," Dimaandal said.
