27 wanted persons nabbed in one day

IN JUST one day, 27 individuals with standing warrants of arrest were apprehended during the conduct of Oplan Dabaw Kalinaw in different areas in Davao City.

Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo C. Morales, regional director of Davao Police Regional Office (PRO 11), said the operation was conducted around 5 a.m. on January 31 together with joint security forces and law enforcement units led by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

Oplan Dabaw Kalinaw is a four-in-one package, which is designed to initiate identity/background check and profiling of transient residents in the urban poor communities in the City; manhunt operations/arrest of wanted persons/fugitives hiding in the community, community outreach/free medical check-up and giving of medicines and vitamins, and; community empowerment through crime prevention education.

They conducted the operation at Police Stations (PS1) of Purok San Vicente, Barangay Agdao Proper; PS2 (Purok 1 & 2, Exodus Street, Barangay 8-A Davao City); PS3 (Quimpo Boulevard, Barangay Matina Crossing, Davao City); PS4 (Phase 8, Brgy Pampanga, Macabebe St.); and PS5 (Carpio Compound, KM 6 Tigatto Road, Buhangin).

It was also launched in the area of PS6 (Purok 22,Hillside Ilang, Tibungco, Bunawan District); PS7 (Purok 12 Crossing Barangay Malabog Paquibato District); PS8 (Purok 8, Sitio Cogon, Toril);PS9 (Sitio Basak, Brgy Bago Oshiro, Tugbok District); PS10 (Purok 6, Brgy. Lacson, Calinan,); PS11 (Prk Pang-Pang, Brgy. Wines, Baguio District,); and PS12 (Nogan Village, Marilog Proper).

“All arrested criminals were brought to the detention cells of the operating units before their turn-over to the courts of origin,” he said.

Morales said PRO 11 vowed to remain relentless in their campaign against most wanted personalities around the country for the welfare of the public in adherence to the directives of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Oscar David Albayalde on intensifying the fight against most wanted criminals.
