A CONTACT tracing and comprehensive investigation are now being conducted by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) of Barangay Mintal in Tugbok District, Davao City after a three-day-old infant died last week in a clinic allegedly due to Covid-19.

In an information gathered from dxGM Super Radyo Davao interview with Barangay Mintal Captain Rey Bargamento, he said they are currently conducting inquiry to confirm the real address of the mother, as it is possible that she only delivered her baby at the birthing clinic in Mintal but she is not a resident of Mintal.

It can be recalled that on September 22, the infant was admitted and died on the same day.

In the Department of Health (DOH)-Davao Region, the baby was recorded to be a resident of Barangay Mintal who reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.

In Davao City alone, there are already 425 active Covid-19 cases as of October 4, the DOH-Davao said.

It also added that the youngest case was a three-month-old boy from Bucana in Davao City. The child had the onset of symptoms on September 30.
