4 Davao grads top criminology board exam

FOUR graduates from Davao Region emerged as topnotchers of the June 2019 Criminologist Board Exam, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) revealed.

Alven Ponso of the Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology landed second spot with 90.10 percent; Raul Palen and Khevin Dave Espinosa, both from University of Mindanao Tagum City 5th (89.75%) and 6th (89.70%), respectively. Another Dabawenyo who made it to the top 10 is Joemar Cervantes of University of Mindanao Davao City with 89.60% at the 7th spot.

The top performing schools is led by University of the Cordilleras, followed by Lipa City Colleges, Tarlac State University, Cagayan de Oro College, and University of Baguio.

These top performing schools had 50 or more examinees passed and with at least 85% overall passing percentage as per Commission Resolution No. 2017-1058(C) series of 2017.

In its website, PRC bared that only 7,998 out of 20,797 examinees passed the exams. The June 2019 Criminologist licensure exams was set last June 9-11, 2019 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Zamboanga and all Regional testing centers nationwide.
