TO STRENGHTEN the unity among Indigenous and Moro tribes in Davao City, the Davao City Tourism Office (CTOO) initiated a community-based tourism project in rural areas.

CTOO community-based eco-cultural organizer William Bazali said during the Kalinaw Kultura press conference on Thursday, November 29, that the project aims to unite cultural and environment impact with peace and order in the area.

Banzali added that they are on the level of unifying tribal communities.

"Napakaganda ng programang ito sa sinasabi natin sa pananawagan ng kapayaan," Banzali said.

He also said the project also aims to help people in the communities to promote their culture by showing others their way of life.

Through community based tourism, locals will create their tourist spots.

"Meron tayong 10 identified community based eco-cultural tourism sa buong Davao City,” he said. However, he did not reveal the 10 because they have yet to finalize these sites.

Bazali added that the Tribal Village at Magsaysay Park will also serve as an instrument to showcase the houses of every tribe. (RJC)
