THE City Government of Davao feted its retiring employees during the "Pasasalamat 2018" on Monday, September 24.

A total of 75 employees were recognized during the flag ceremony at City Hall.

"Gitagaan nato sila ug honor and recognition for their contribution. Tagaan pud sila ug incentives (We are giving them honor and recognition for their contribution, and incentives will be given to them as well)," Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) chief Erwin Alparaque said during an interview with SunStar Davao on Monday.

Based on the Praise resolution, the cash incentives of the retiring employees will depend on their years in service.

“Thankful mi sa city government of Davao kay gihatagan mi ug opportunity na maka-work, maka-serve sa atong mga constituents (We are so thankful to the city government of Davao for giving us the chance to work and serve the constituents),” Rosemarie Villaver, 60, an employee of the City Social Services and Development Office for 36 years, said, adding that it was their commitment to the work that prompted her to stay at CSSDO.

“The long years in service was because of their performance, dedication and hardwork,” Alparaque said.

Alparaque encouraged other employees to continue working for the city government of Davao.

Meanwhile, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio attended the formal program of the retirees at the Grand Men Seng Hotel after the flag ceremony.
