THE number of passengers and bus trips in Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) increased by 10 percent as of December 17, 2018.

“Nakita nako atong Monday diha na gyud, naay time nga mudagsa (I observed last Monday the frequency of trips due to the influx of passengers),” DCOTT head Aisa Usop said in an interview with SunStar Davao Thursday.

The recent bus trips increased by 10 percent from the regular trips estimated at 700 to 750 trips a day.

Usop cited passengers who are coming from the north and south areas taking another trip to their destination as one of the factors behind the increase in arrivals.

She added that the terminal will be expecting the influx of passengers starting Friday night until the Christmas vacation.

She also said that security is being tightened around and inside DCOTT. (RJC)
