FORMER President Rodrigo Duterte will be returning to television beginning January 22 thru his weekly show, Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa (Mula sa Masa, Para sa Masa).

Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy announced on Thursday, January 12 that Duterte's weekly show back when the latter was still Davao City mayor will air at the pastor's television arm SMNI.

"Palagi na ninyo siya makikita (You will get to see him on television) every week," Quiboloy said.

According to SMNI News, the show will air from 7 to 10 p.m.

In a December 23 interview, Duterte hinted at the possibility of reviving his weekly show.

“I can do it actually,” Duterte said in an exclusive interview with Quiboloy.

He added, “I would be happy to if Pastor will grant me a small time, I could convey to the people the issues that we have to pay attention to.”

Gikan sa Masa originally aired on ABS-CBN Davao from 2001 until 2015.

On the show, Duterte addressed the concerns of his constituents. Duterte would also share his opinion on national and local issues, and even entertain his viewers.

The program was revived when Duterte was president on state-run PTV, but only one episode aired in May 2017.

Duterte had a similar concept during the early months of the pandemic until he stepped down from the presidency in June 2022, through the Talk to the People. RGL
