VISTA Land and Lifescapes and the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) signed a memorandum of agreement Friday, October 26, with the city government of Davao for the Davao Balai Program “Kalayaan Homes” in Barangay Lasang.

Household Development Corporation Vice President Cecilia A. Ramilo underscored the importance of the signing of the memorandum to fulfill the vision of Vista Land in serving Filipino communities in Mindanao.

“On behalf of Vista Land and its subsidiaries, we would like to thank our good city mayor of Davao in giving us the opportunity to be part of this worthy cause for the benefit of the constituents of Davao,” Ramilo said in an interview.

The property covers around 4.7 hectares which Vista Land will help develop to hold more than 1,000 housing units.

Ramilo added the housing project is part of the bigger housing development still in Lasang covering 20 hectares.

“We are looking on partnering with a government housing agency for the housing development,” Ramilo said.

She also said the concern of the private development companies like Vista Land only covers land development.

“For our part we will commit to spend over P130 million for the land development works,” Ramilo said, adding that the construction will take 12 months.

She said a meeting will be held on Monday, October 29, to mobilize the plans in starting the land developments.
