THE Lingap Para Sa Mahirap Center and Malasakit Center building, a one-stop shop for government medical assistance designed to help the indigent Dabawenyos, is expected to open to public within the year.

Lingap Para Sa Mahirap Center and Malasakit Center in-charge Josephine Matiran said both centers will now be transferred from in front of the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) to the hospital's compound, beside the 7-Eleven Store.

Matiran said the four-storey building, with a land size of 300 square meters, can accommodate 150 patients per floor.

She said the building, worth P25 million, is funded by the Office of the President.

Among the offices that will be included in the building are from the Philhealth, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and Botika ng Bayan.

She said the one-stop shop center has been one of Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio's priority projects under her term.
