LAND Transportation Office (LTO)-Davao opened its Drivers’ License Renewal Office (DLRO) at Gaisano Grand in Buhangin, Davao City, to bring its services closer to the public.

LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante, during the opening program yesterday, said that LTO needed a bigger space since they would like to cater to all concerns and services needed by their clients.

"Ang nangyayari pag nagtatayo kami ng DLRO sa mga malls ay dinadagsa. Kasi nga sa mall mas malamig, mas maganda ang facilities, mas maganda ang lugar kaya marami silang magagawa simultaneously,” he added.

He also said the satellite office inside the mall will be convenient to the public as they wait for their transaction, assuring that the waiting period will be shortened through a systematic procedure.

LTO-Davao Assistant Regional Director Neil Cañedo said during an interview with SunStar Davao on Thursday, November 15, that the satellite office will be the last one in the region.

“Wala nay laing mag-open kay actually nag-open na ang Felcris-Toril, Gaisano-Digos [DLROs] (No more LTO office will be opened since DLROs in Felcris-Toril and Gaisano-Digos already opened),” he said, adding that there will be another office to open in Malita but it will be a District Office.

He added there are a total of five DLROs in Davao Region, including the newly-opened one, Felcris-Toril, Gaisano-Digos, Gaisano-Tagum, Gaisano Grand-Buhangin, and E-Patrol Operations.
