CHARGES were filed before the Provincial Prosecution Office in Davao del Sur, Saturday, against an accused notorious drug pusher nabbed for selling illegal drugs in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur last week.

Facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, is Lyndon Salvador Lumantas, alias Loko, 31, a resident of Barangay Coronon, Sta. Cruz town.

PDEA-Davao officer-in-charge lawyer Behn Joseph Tesiorna said Lumantas is fifth in the priority target list in Davao del Sur. He added that the drug bust was conducted following several complaints.

"Lumantas is one of the elusive drug perpetrators in the province," Tesiorna said.

Lumantas was arrested in a drug-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Davao with the Sta. Cruz town and Davao del Sur provincial policemen in Purok Daisy in Coronon.

Recovered from the suspect were three small plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, known as shabu, three bundles of suspected marijuana worth P14,000 and drug-bust money.

The suspect is currently detained at the PDEA-Davao jail facility, while the suspected illegal drugs confiscated from him were placed at the laboratory service office for qualitative and quantitative examination.
