THE Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMF) in Davao City have a relatively low occupancy rate based on the latest data of the Davao City Covid-19 Task Force.

“Sa atong TTMFs, nigamay pud but we are also expecting that kay nigamay man atong cases (The occupancy of our TTMFs have decreased, but that is expected because our cases are also declining),” said Covid-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser during a radio interview on Friday, February 11, 2022.

Schlosser said the combined hospital ward beds in the city intended for Covid-19 patients have reached a 47.57-percent occupancy rate.

Based on the Covid-19 Regional Daily Case Bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH)-Davao, 32 ward beds in the city have been occupied as of February 10, leaving 107 ward beds available out of 139.

Schlosser said due to allowing home isolation for mild and asymptomatic cases, fewer patients are being admitted into hospitals, which is also reserved for more severe or critical cases of Covid-19.

“Dako gyod siya og tabang (home isolation) na dili mapuno atong TTMFs and hospitals,” said Schlosser.

(Home isolation is a big help to avoid full occupancy in our hospitals.)

The hotel TTMFs, on the other hand, were at a 19.48-percent occupancy rate; isolation facilities in partnership with the City Government and the Department of Health (DOH) were at a 13.52 percent rate; and school TTMFs were 4.79=percent occupied.

The spokesperson also said the San Pedro Hospital and Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) are between moderate and high risk, as well as the City North Inn used for hotel isolation.

The case bulletin of DOH-Davao also showed that 279 ward beds in SPMC were occupied, leaving 138 available out of 417.
