Over 50 shops to close for Rizal Day celebration

OVER 50 vendors along San Pedro Street will have to close their stalls on December 30 for the celebration of Rizal Day.

"Sa 28 ug 29 mag warning nami sa ilaha nga sa petsa 30 wala usa sila, diha dili usa sila mudisplay sa city hall drive diha sa may san Pedro atbang sa Chowking paadto diri sa simbahan (We will be warning the vendors on 28 and 29 that they will not be allowed to sell from City Hall Drive on December 30)," Ancillary Services Unit officer-in-charge Paul Revildo Bermejo said in an interview Wednesday, December 27.

Bermejo added that the vendors located at Sangguniang Panglungsod will also be temporarily closed.

He said the temporary closure of the stalls is part of the security measures for the upcoming event.

The Rizal Day celebration will start at 4 p.m at Rizal Park.
