Pa in kids' massacre faces multiple raps

CASES of multiple parricide and frustrated parricide will be filed on Monday against the father who is also the suspect for the massacre of his three children and leaving another critically wounded on Thursday, August 2.

Police Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao Region spokesperson, said that the suspect identified as Joel Nonoy, 40, carpenter, and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay San Isidro, Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal, will face raps on Monday. The case was not pursued this week since he was still in the hospital.

The suspect is recuperating at Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) after he attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself. Authorities are on guard to watch him.

The fatalities were identified as RJ, 13; Cyrus, 11 and Aira Nicole, 7 while Sophia, 4 is in critical condition after she sustained stab wounds.

In a previous report, around 11 p.m. on August 2 the incident happened at the house of the suspect in Samal City. The suspect who was the father of the victims stabbed his four children.

The victims were brought to Davao del Norte Hospital, Samal Zone and IGACOS community hospital, Babak District but the three were declared dead on arrival.

Sophia, the lone survivor, was rushed to SPMC, along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City.

The suspect reportedly had a marital problem with his wife after the latter abandoned them and heard rumor that she is in a relationship with another guy. It triggered him to carry out such heinous crime.
