Rerouting for Undas

AN OPLAN Kaluluwa rerouting scheme will be implemented by the City Traffic and Transport Management Office (CTTMO) on November 1 to 2, 2018.

During the I-speak media forum on Thursday, October 18, CTTMO Chief Dionisio Abude said the traffic scheme on the major cemeteries of Davao City.

On the re-routing scheme of Davao Memorial Park, vehicles coming from downtown to Davao Memorial Park area during peak hours (around 3 p.m. onwards) may use the McArthur Highway. Vehicles are prohibited to do a left turn to exit the Davao Memorial Park. The same way, people exiting Santos-Cuyugan road are also prohibited to do a left turn during the peak hours and to instead use Quimpo Boulevard.

On the other hand, vehicles coming south going to Davao Memorial Park are advised to use Quimpo Boulevard and may use the Calamansi Street or the University Avenue of Juna Subdivision to McArthur Highway to join the flow of traffic to the cemetery entrance.

Southbound buses and trucks coming from Quirino Avenue are advised pass by Sandawa Road to Quimpo Blvd. Trucks coming from Ma-a going to Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) are advised to take Sandawa Road and Quimpo Boulevard.

McArthur Highway-Quimpo Blvd intersection will be closed during peak hour of the traffic.

Vehicles going to Forest Lake near San Pedro cemetery are advised to use the Silver St. to Copper St. of San Rafael Village while vehicles going to San Pedro cemetery are advised to use Jade St. to Turquoise St. from which they will exit to the main gate of Sarenas Road. Vehicles entering the Orchard Road are advised to use the other gate located near Mason Cemetery to enter and will exit at the main gate.

Route going to Chinese Cemetery are advised to use J.P Laurel Road to (DMSF road) Gahol St and take right turn to Circumferential Road. Entrace from Father Selga Street corner Circumferential Road going to Catholic Cemetery will be prohibited during the implementation of the scheme.

Vehicles going to Buhangin Memorial Park are advised to use Carlos P. Garcia Highway corner Milan-Buhangin Cabantian Road. Left turn is not allowed for vehicles coming from the villages near Memorial Park.
