‘Sagrado Gang’ shoots cop; hot pursuit on

A HOT pursuit operation was launched by the General Investigation Section of the Talomo Police Station against one of the members of Sagrado Gang who allegedly shot a policeman of the police station.

The incident, which occurred Monday evening, December 17, at Seaside, Barangay Bago Aplaya, Davao City, left Senior Police Officer (SPO) 1 Ferdinand Macion wounded, after his team conducted Oplan Sita in the place.

One alias Randy, 18, a resident of the place, shot the victim with an unidentified type of gun and immediately fled after the incident, while the victim was rushed to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) whose foot was injured.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Senior Inspector Ma. Theresita Plaza-Gaspan said the victim was caught off guard and that he only knew that he was hit when his foot already oozed with blood.

“Miyembro ang suspek sa Sagrado Gang sa Talomo District, noted na ang suspek, ug sa karon nagpahigayon na og hot pursuit operation ang atong PS3,” Gaspan said.

However, Macion is already out of danger as of Tuesday.
