IT HAS been a busy two weeks. And because of that I skipped a writing deadline. Nevertheless I am back. As I said it has been quite busy. Work of course because they were out of town trainings, two of them in a span of four days. And then of course there was a wedding. The wedding of one of our sons. And it just so happened that it was a destination wedding so we all had to fly.

It was quite a wedding really. A few, carefully selected family and friends. It was meant to be intimate and warm and it was. It was amazing to see that most of the guests flew all the way to the wedding. It was a sign of love and friendship and family. Tears fell, faces glowed, slow walks and a lot of pictures. A beautiful church. The music was wonderful, the food was excellent, the host was cool and we even had a high government official play Rock, Paper and Scissors. There was light banter and a lot of smiles. Wine, a wonderful on site video.

And Chona and I got to do one thing we had never done before. Sing. Yup, we sang. More Today Than Yesterday by the Spiral Staircase. I think it went pretty well amidst all the shocked faces. It had to go well because we even took music lessons and we did a recording of the song complete with headphones and all. Nifty if I may say.

It was also dreamlike. This was a wedding of one of our sons after all. We may have attended numerous weddings and some of them may have been that of relatives and dear friends and we may even have gotten carried away and cried. But it is a totally different experience when one of your sons walks the aisle. If that was emotional already I could not imagine the parents of the bride.

But this was personal and close to the heart and all that I experienced was such. This was a wedding where the guests were chosen, guests who needed to be there if you want to put it another way. Friends defined and refined by time and circumstances. Family who stood in rain and sunshine.
