AFC holds licensing course in Davao

THE Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted an AFC 'C' licensing course which started last July 19 at the Davao City Sports Complex in Mintal, Davao City.

According to Davao South Regional Football Association (DRFA) Officer Rachel "Ching" Delos Reyes, there were 19 local and foreign aspirants joined the 12-day course which will end on July 29.

They are Leo Abunas, Jermoe Ferdinand Balaga, Renante Bangi, Ivan CainaM Janver Clyde Magaway, Allyn Ravanes, Ed Merill Walohan, Carlo Andrew Yagong, Gallardo Bludoreto, Jefry Den Miranda, Alvin Aguilon, Alexis Joseph Cervantes, Marvin Lois Dava, Rolan Elisan, Ali Bernard Go, Jerrold Zuasola, Jean Paul Ngoo, Robert William and Yami William Choumbe.

Delos Reyes, however, said the AFC 'C' course is a pre-requisite before proceeding to AFC 'B' course.

"If makapasa sila sa AFC 'C' course, after two years pwede na sila mag take ug AFC 'B'," she said, adding that the AFC 'C' license is one of the main requirements upon coaching the Philippine Football League.

The lectures are being done at the under-construction Davao City Sports Complex while the first practical assessment will be held at the Tionko Football Grounds today.
