CBNHS teams in twin kill

TWO Crossing Bayabas National High School (CBNHS) teams drew first blood as the Davao Youth Games (DYG) 2019 Inter-School Developmental League opened at Margarita Gym in J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City over the weekend.

CBNHS defeated Davao City National High School (DCNHS), 66-61, in their junior division A match, while the CBNHS cadet squad crushed Binugao National High School (BNHS), 70-21, in bracket B category of the cagefest being held in partnership with Diamond Knights and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

In another junior A game, Panabo City Senior High School (PCSHS) stunned Davao Jones Academy (DJA), 45-42, but DJA's cadet dribblers eked out a 60-51 victory over Immanuel School of Davao (ISD) in bracket A.

Meanwhile, Holy Child College of Davao (HCCD) Mintal Reds and Philippine Women's College (PWC) Davao Patriots also entered the winning column by overcoming their respective rivals.

HCCD Mintal Reds survived past Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (PNJKIS), 54-50, in junior bracket C while PWC Patriots thrashed GSIS, 84-32, in junior bracket B.

Games will resume on Saturday.

A total of six teams are entered in the mini division while 13 in cadet and 16 in junior category.
