Davao Jones, Ford Academy battle separate rivals

CADET bracket A teams Davao Jones Academy (DJA) and Ford Academy of the Arts (FAA) will take on separate opponents in the resumption of the Davao Youth Basketball League (DYBL) 2019 Saturday, August 10, at the Margarita Gym, J. P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City.

DJA dribblers, who remain unbeaten after three outings, battles bracket B bottom squad 0-3 Brokenshire Science High School (BSHS) at 1:20 p.m. while 1-2 FAA collides with bracket B No. 3 1-2 St. Patrick Math-Sci School (SPMSS) in the 8 a.m. curtain raiser.

Curent bracket D No. 2 leader 2-1 Cabantian National High School (CNHS) cadets, who absorbed a 74-78 loss at the hands of Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (PNJKIS) in their August 3 clash, will try to bounce back when it meets bracket C cellar dweller 0-3 Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) at 9:20 a.m..

In other games, 1-2 Davao City National High School (DCNHS) plays against 0-3 San Pedro College (SPC) Ulas at 10:40 a.m. followed by the match between 2-1 Assumption College of Davao (ACD) and 2-1 Jesus Soriano National High School (JSNHS) at 12 noon.

The 2:40 p.m. encounter pits 2-1 Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) against 1-2 Immanuel School of Davao in the cagefest presented by Red Sports Events and supported by Diamond Knights.

Meanwhile, PNJKIS edged CNHS, 44-42, in to post its third straight win in junior bracket B while Philippine Academy of Sakya routed BSHS, 54-40, to gran the solo lead in junior bracket A with a clean 3-0 slate.

PWC (2-1) clobbered HCDC (0-3), 45-35, while 2-1 ACD whipped 0-3 Davao Christian High School, 62-45. (MLSA)
