Esquirreda, Cortez crowned 21K champs

JORGE Esquirreda and Kara Cortez topped the 21K race of the just-concluded Year-End Run With The Titans-Leg 3 held in an out-and-back course at People's Park in Davao City.

Esquirreda clocked a total of one hour, 28 minutes and 38 seconds to rule the men's division over Chong Cain and Salvador Echavaria who placed second and third, respectively.

Cortez, for her part, topped the women's 21K with a time of 2:05:01. She raced past Jenylyn Casilagan (2:15:58) who finished second and Hazel Villanueva (2:16:00) who came third.

In 10K, Arlan Arbois emerged men's champion after checking in at 47 minutes while Jaime Llubit (51:13) grabbed the second spot and Danilo Carillo, Jr. (55 minutes) salvaged the third place.

The women's 10K title went to Miki Tirol (1:02:10) who bested next two finishers Charise Mansueto (1:06:30) and Jedyl Jamaca-Uno (1:10:25).

Meanwhile, Mark Daryl Daban and Cheryl Flores shared top honors in 5K. Daban (24:58) outlasted Nikko Andrei Ganson (28:15) and Clide (32:00) as Flores (31:15) outran Beth Murphy (32:18) and Sophia Rosales (33.28).
